paper label to spine, within the very rare printed D/W.
(Wrapper v. sl. discoloured around the edges and sl worn
on the edges of the spine and with small loss at the top
of the spine.). A very good copy.
Extremely rare First Edition of Rosenberg’s poems
issued in an edition of only 500 copies.Rosenberg enlisted
in the Suffolk Regiment in the early part of 1915. He
transfered to the King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment,
and was killed in action on the Somme in April 1918. Edith
Sitwell’s review of this book in "New Age" in
1922 stated that "Rosenberg was one of the two great
poets killed in the war, the other being Wilfred

cloth, gilt with the original pictorial wrapper on the
upper board and the original printed wrapper on the rear
board.
Rosher joined the R.N.A.S. in August 1914 - his letters
home provide a fascinating insight into the early years of
naval flight. He was killed in an air accident in February
1916. The dramatic wrapper illustration is of a fighter
diving through gunfire with a large factory on the ground
below. |
